Our Plantation   

It is located 9 kilometers away from the royal town of Kuala Kangsar in the state of Perak, Malaysia, heading towards the small town of Manong. Access is easy as the plantation is situated just along the main road. Spread over 87 acres of a former oil palm smallholding, RAL Plantations has  a varied species of karas (gaharu) trees planted since 2009. Among the variants are the Aquilaria Malaccensis, Subintegra, Crassna, Hirta and Sinensis. Besides the almost 10,000 trees already planted and thriving, our plantation has about 700 of the Malaccensis spp, native to the land and ageing between 2 – 10 years, growing wildly on one part of the land. At the entrance of the plantation is our nursery where visitors can purchase gaharu seedlings, fertilizers and pesticides. Other gaharu products ( oil, incense chips, artifacts, tea, floral water, balm) can be purchased at our showroom in Kuala Kangsar.

Our latest innovation is the Aquilaria Sinensis, a gaharu species which has enhanced our gaharu tea-producing potential. Our latest product LEAFLIFE Gaharu Herbal Tea, is produced from selected leaves and young twigs of this specie. Over 6000 Sinensis trees have been planted over the past 2 years and the planting process is still ongoing.

RAL Plantations Sdn Bhd provides consultation, courses and training to potential karas planters. Course dates is displayed from time to time in our website. Apart from the activities above, we are also furthering our  R&D on inoculants and gaharu oil and hope to be able to produce the best in the market.
